The First Harvest!

Many came forward to recite the sinner's prayer.  Nearly thirty adults and about that same number of children!  Our team came forward to surround them with prayer.

The first night of evangelistic outreach

This first night, Glenn brought the message - a basic presentation of the Gospel and the promise of salvation.  We started the evening with singing and praying, followed by the first third of the movie "Son of God".  Right after Lazarus came out of the tomb, the film was stopped for the message.  The villagers will see the rest over the next two nights.  Joseph provided the translation to the local language ofTwi.

Pavilion Construction

Yeboah and his team, along with Tom and Bob, placing their hand-built trusses with the old-fashioned way.  Taking the picture was far easier!  The ground giving for this structure was particularly beautiful in Kumi.

The Pharmacy

Three of our medical trained team members along with our old friend "Gifty" from the Ghana Public Health Ministry set up our pharmacy and dispensed the medications provided through you generous donations.

The medical outreach in Kumi

We opened our medical clinic to a large group that had gathered in anticipation well before we arrived.  Here Cam and Laura are consulting on a patient, with Prince serving as translator.  Along with our team nurses and Ghanaian help, we serverd over 100 the first day!

Everyone likes to color!

Renee and her class of children, proudly displaying their handiwork.  We all noticed that the artistic skills in this village were very good.  As the children color, the story depicted is told to them.  Jonah and the whale, Daniel and the lion's den, etc.

Teaching Bible stories...

The local schoolmaster allowed us to come into some of the classrooms and present to the children.  Here Betty is reading from a children's Bible storybook.  Elvis is helping with translation thought the children are learning English quite well.

Kumi, our first target village

Monday - Kumi - our first church plant village. The children here are just like those we have encountered in the past.  Always ready to climb up on your lap and get to know you.  It took Bob no time at all to have his hands full!
